In the 1990’s, a friend introduced me to French yarn company, Pingouin. The store was very close to my workplace and I found myself in this yarn store quite often. In retrospect, this marked the beginnings of my obsession with knitting.

I handpainted the yarn with plastic water bottles filled with the Kool-Aid mix. I have very little table space, so I used the garden patio as my work area.

I am back from the other side of the pond…tired and recovering from jet lagged. As I get older, I am finding it more difficult to adjust to these transatlantic flights. I am taking this weekend to catch up on knitty blogging…
